Your day begins with an early departure from Marrakech, climbing steadily through the High Atlas Mountains via the spectacular Tizi n’Tichka Pass. Along the way, you’ll stop for breathtaking panoramic views and snap photos of Berber villages nestled into terraced hillsides.

Our first major stop is the Kasbah Telouet, a once-glorious stronghold of the Glaoui family, tucked away in a remote mountain village. Though partially in ruins, this kasbah still whispers tales of power and grandeur through its richly decorated rooms, zellij mosaics, and intricate stucco work.

From here, you’ll follow the scenic Ounila Valley, a hidden gem off the tourist trail. This lush valley is dotted with crumbling kasbahs, traditional villages, and red-rock canyons—offering a raw and authentic glimpse into rural Morocco.

After a traditional Moroccan lunch near Ait Ben Haddou, the journey continues to the star of the show: Kasbah Ait Ben Haddou. This UNESCO World Heritage Site is a living piece of history—a fortified village made of earth and straw that has appeared in countless films and shows, from Gladiator to Game of Thrones. As you wander its maze-like alleys and climb to the hilltop granary, you’ll be transported to another world.

By sunset, you’ll begin your return to Marrakech, carrying with you the rich stories, stunning images, and unforgettable moments of a truly immersive day in Morocco’s south.
